Verizon wins because it is spot on and made me watch it multiple times for other easter eggs. Alas, there aren’t any. All the gags are right there. But they are perfect. Like they got my 16-year-old to consult.
KFC is right there for the doing something similar ads haven’t done — make me like it. Maybe it’s that the foley’s face (esp. the wagon train scene) says nothing about how good the chicken tastes. It is literally a tool of his craft.
