Do you like cats? I LOVE cats. No, you have no idea. I also love dogs and pretty much every living non-human creature. Some of these cat ads are good. Some of these cat ads not so good. But, they all feature creative cat visuals.

This could be an ad for Triple A.

1—KY (Germany)

HAPPINESS IS A TIGHT PUSSY. I first saw that t-shirt as a pre-teen in the early 1970s on the boardwalk in Wildwood, NJ. I couldn’t stop staring at it. Here, Hamburg ad agency Kolle Rebbe re-visualizes the concept. From 2009.

2—FENISTIL (Switzerland)

Fenistil (a GlaxoSmithKline product) is an anti-itching product. A naked woman is assaulted head-to-toe by a pack of cats. I see no problem here. Anyway, the Fenistil gel forms a dog to, ostensibly, scare the cats away. I say, that dog’s in big trouble. From 2010. Ad agency: Saatchi & Saatchi, Switzerland.

3—Lifebuoy Hand Sanitizer (Indonesia)

COPY: You eat what you touch. Oh buoy. It’s the Dr. Moreau School of Digital Art Direction. On the plate today: a tabby croissant. Pet your cat, eat your cat. I guess. From 2009. Ad agency: Lowe, Jakarta.

4, 5—Pet Show Cat Food (Brazil)

COPY: Two flavored cat food. This brand of cat food is made in China and it apparently will cause your cat to start growing a second head out of the top of his/her first head. No thank you. From 2012. Ad agency: Hermandad, Brazil. Just another instance of insane, self-indulgent Brazilian art direction.

Lastly, my favorite cat campaign. COPY: Feeding your cat’s instincts. So simple yet perfectly unexpected. From 2013. Ad agency: AMVBBDO, London
