The reason many creatives love the old grammatically-incorrect Apple tagline, Think Different, is because it’s the perfect tagline for ad creativity.

Copyranter Two Point Zero is a reader-supported publication. This is my job, not a hobby. I can’t run ads thus, the paywall. It’s $5/month or $40/year.

“Habit” and Sameness” have nearly completely taken over the industry. And AI is only going speed the takeover. So, while my memory is still mostly working, let’s celebrate some past deliberate differentiation.

The below six very good ads share the common themes of quirky, cheap, and an unexpected twist. You don’t need a big production budget to do great different advertising.
