First off, borrowing interests is what an ad creative often does. Some of the best ads ever created used borrowed interests. But using overused borrowed interests—like Hitler—is just hacky and lazy.

Also using borrowed interests that aren’t connected well to the product, or that just make zero sense, is hacky and stupid.
