Are you an ad copywriter? “Content” writer? Marketing writer? PR writer? Email writer? “Writer” writer? Do you think you’re a good writer? Yeah? But are you really?
Abbott (The “A” of AMV) was one of the best to ever put ad pen to ad paper. He’s right. Time, more than anything else, creates good copy. Because our brains are not our creative allies. Our brains care about one thing: their survival, not yours, theirs. They are naturally lazy. You think you control your brain? LOL. They will tell you: “That’s a good line, good enough anyway, move on. I want food. I want to sleep. I want you to play with yourself which subsequently makes me feel better. Thinking hurts me. Stop hurting me”.
